Eucharistic Adoration is the worship of the Eucharist outside of the Mass. The Eucharistic Host is displayed in a Monstrance on the altar so that all can see and pray in the presence of Christ.
Through the generosity of our volunteer adorers, St. Monica hosts a perpetual adoration chapel where you may come adore the Lord at any hour of any day.
If you find the exterior door locked after dark, simply ring the doorbell to the left and wait for an adorer to let you in.

PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. In the many Churches that have this adoration, the Eucharist is displayed in a special holder called a monstrance, and people come to pray and worship Jesus continually throughout the day and through the night. Christ’s great love for us was shown when he was crucified on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and give us eternal life. He loves us without limit, and offers Himself to us in the Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist. Can we not give Jesus a few minutes of love and adoration in return? therealpresence.org
Through the loving and generous commitment to prayer before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament by our parishioners and members of our Diocese, we have been able to establish and continue to offer Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in our St. Monica Adoration Chapel for nearly 25 years !! Through the leadership of our then Pastor Fr. Lawrence Farrell, we began Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration at our Adoration Chapel on October 14, 2002, and we have been going ever since !!
We are always delighted to welcome new Adorers who feel called to join our Perpetual Adoration Group !! We would love to have you choose a holy hour to attend on a weekly basis, so that you can begin to receive the special spiritual benefits which come from spending time in prayer on a weekly basis with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, Our God Who is really and truly present in the Sacred Host !! Please contact Anne Cooper at [email protected], or at (269) 303-5175, to choose a holy hour and to become a member of our Perpetual Adoration Chapel group !! We also have need of substitute Adorers, to help cover open hours when regular Adorers are on vacation or ill, etc. Any questions, please call Anne at (269) 303-5157. Thank you !!
We also invite anyone who is interested to drop in to the Chapel to pray before Jesus at any time, as your schedule permits !! If the door is locked, please ring the lighted door bell to the left of the church door to the Adoration Chapel (NE doors) and an Adorer will come and let you in !!
At the Chapel Sign-In Table, please enter your name and parish and time of your arrival--- then when you leave, please record the time of your departure.
A bookshelf located in the Chapel entryway contains books, to be used while praying at the Chapel---all books with a Chapel label, are to remain at the Chapel bookshelf. Materials which do not have a Chapel label, and materials placed on the lower shelf of the sign-in table are free, and may be taken home as desired.
Family prayer before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is a very special blessing, and is very much encouraged !! Children adapt very readily to prayer before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and parents are appreciated for their efforts to teach their children about the Real Presence of Jesus in the Sacred Host !!
