Congratulations on the birth of your child, and thank you for choosing St. Monica for their Baptism. In asking to have your child baptized at St. Monica, you ask us to share in the responsibility of raising this child in the Catholic faith. Parents are the primary teachers of the faith. Your example and your values will be the most powerful lesson for your child. We are ready at the appropriate time to teach and administer the Sacraments of the Catholic Church and help your child to be well grounded in the essentials of the faith.
In Christ,
Fr. Homic
Pastor

Classes and Eligibility
The following requirements must be met in order to have your child baptized at St. Monica. Please call the Church office if you have any questions or concerns!
1. At least one parent must be a practicing Catholic (attending weekly Sunday Mass and receiving the Sacraments). Has it been a while since you've regularly attended Mass? Consider checking out ourExperience Catholicism class for resources and more information! The baptism of a new member of the Church is a great time for the rest of us to renew our efforts to actively live our faith.
2. At least one parent must be registered at St. Monica Church. If you are not, just prepare and return a registration form (linked below) to the Church office. (You are only required to fill in the data regarding parents, child, and godparents; the office will fill in the rest).
If you are a parishioner at another church, please provide written permission from your pastor to have your child Baptized at St. Monica.
3. Parents who have not previously attended a Baptism class must do so with a member of our clergy. The class will be short and ordinarily occurs in the week preceding the Baptism; call the Church office to schedule.
4. Each Catholic godparent must submit a letter from their parish indicating that they have been confirmed and attend Mass regularly.
When we receive the completed information form and the required certificates, we will call you to confirm the class date and the Baptism date. Please call if you have any questions. Parish Registration Form
